You will need to apply for a Secondary School place as your child starts Year 5.

School Admissions will send you a letter via school post to remind you to apply.

The deadline for applications is usually in October.

The majority of children leave at 11 years of age to go to Backwell School and there is a close liaison between us and Backwell School.  Please note that North Somerset Council does not operate a feeder system.  Attendance at Yatton Church of England Junior School does not guarantee a place at Backwell School.  Full details of North Somerset admissions criteria are available from the Local Authority.
