All pupils are encouraged to drink plenty of fresh water and are allowed to bring a small, named water bottle into school which can be refilled throughout the school day.
To encourage healthy eating habits, sweets are not allowed in school. Infant School children are provided with a piece of fruit or a portion of vegetables for their break through the Government’s Fruit and Vegetable scheme. Junior School pupils may bring a snack for morning break (preferably fruit, not crisps or chocolate). The pupils also run a healthy tuck shop at break time selling fruit, bread sticks, rice cakes, plain pop corn and other healthy snacks. In line with our Healthy School’s Policy, we do not allow sweets and cakes to be brought into school to share on children’s birthdays.
