Easy Fundraising

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday or Christmas Presents – you could be collecting free donations for Yatton Federated Schools Association (YFSA)?

There are over 3,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury’s – it doesn’t cost you a penny extra!

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

1. Head to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/yfsa/ and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

3. After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!

There are no catches or hidden charges and Yatton Federated Schools Association (YFSA) will be really grateful for your donations.

Thank you for your support.

What does YFSA do?

Ever wondered how YFSA money is raised and (more importantly) what it is spent on? As we are currently asking for volunteers for this Friday’s Fireworks Night, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to share our two new posters with you showing just that – click on the link below. Big up to Becky Warren for making the posters look so lovely!

It just goes to prove that when we all work together, we can achieve amazing things for the school which directly benefits all our children. Plus we all get to enjoy great community events like Fireworks Night (nudge nudge, hint hint, please volunteer  )

If you can help out, contact Kristina Tarrant or email yisa@yatton.info.

Thank you

Ever wondered how our fundraising enhances the lives of our children? Interested in finding out more about YFSA?

Then come along to our AGM!

The Yatton Federated Schools Association (YFSA) is holding its AGM on Tuesday 4th October 2016, 7:30pm at Yatton Infant School. We’d love to see as many parents & carers as possible from both schools.

Over wine and nibbles, we’ll be:

·         Discussing our fundraising events and how much we have in the kitty

·         Updating on what we’ve spent this year and how it’s benefited the children

·         Making plans for the future

·         Agreeing budgets for the coming year.

It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow parents and find out more about what we do. Please come along to share your views on what we can spend our money!

A bit more information about YFSA.

Yatton Federated Schools Association (YFSA) is a charitable fundraising committee run by parents, to raise money to support the schools in all sorts of ways and to help fund those ‘extra sparkly bits’, which enhance children’s lives at school. In previous years, the School Association has subsidised the cost of school trips, and helped fund the popular Learning College in both schools. Last year, funds enabled a refurbishment of the shared Food Technology room to allow more children from both schools to make use of it at any one time, and fulfil the requirements of the updated National Curriculum.
The Schools really value this support, but the Association’s success depends upon the help of our parents.

Come and see how money raised by YFSA has transformed the Food Tech Room.

Reminder – tomorrow Monday 27th June is open afternoon from 2.30pm in the new improved Food Technology Room …

As you may be aware from a recent newsletter, thanks to funding from YFSA (the School Association) along with a donation from the Durban Trust, our Food Technology Room has undergone a major transformation. We would like to share our excitement for the improvements to these facilities by giving you the opportunity to come and see the Food Tech Room in action. You are very welcome to drop in on Monday, 27th June anytime from 2:30 pm onwards until the end of the school day. There will be a group of Junior School children cooking as part of our ‘Learning College’ and staff will be on hand to explain how a new scheme of work we are introducing will add improved continuity and progression to the teaching of cooking across both schools.

Fantastic Carnival

A massive well done to all involved in the carnival today 😀😀 At first count we have taken around £5,900 which is AMAZING!! I will get the final figure’s out ASAP once I have all the costs but I am sure you all agree this a fantastic sum that is going to make a massive difference to the school for our children
